With all the hype surrounding the Kindle DX and the rest of the Kindle line , for that matter, one might think Amazon and Apple had the e-book market cornered and trembling. But there still are other viable options out there. I’ve tried Borders’ Kobo with it’s sloppy little d-pad, and a couple of Sony’s older clunkers (though I have yet to hold their more promising their recent offerings )
Archos drops 5 new Android tablets
Not two hours ago I was writing about how the Android tablet game is getting so crazy that it’s extremely difficult to differentiate the wheat from the vaporware. Start-ups and rebranding distributors are all over the tablet market shouting Android this and that while shipping very little. But one company that proven its committed to – and capable of – delivering on the promises is Archos, and they’ve just launched a new line of Android tablets
New Verizon prepaid services to include Android devices?
Take this with the normal grain of salt you do leaks and rumors, but according to screen shots from the guys over at AndroidDoes , Verizon is releasing a new prepaid service that allows you to use Android devices.
Hannspree joins the Android tablet game
The pace at which Android tablets are being announced (as opposed to launched) is dizzying, and picking out which renders and prototypes will actually make it to virtual shelves or brick-and-mortar shops is largely a matter of luck. So, while Hanspree’s Android tablet is absolutely delicious on paper and PDF , I’m going to reserve my giddy excitement for when I’ve actually held one of these Tegra 2-powered potential beasts.
